The Association has members throughout Australia, aged from 16 to 90 years. They range from pre-solo students to commercial, airline and military pilots with more than 20,000 hours each.
Full membership is open to any female pilot who holds or has held a Pilot’s Licence. Student membership is open to any female student pilot for a maximum of two years. Junior membership is open to any female under the age of 18 with an interest in aviation; it does not entitle the member to voting rights.
Classes of Membership
Members of the Association belong to one or more of the following classes of members.
A. Member. A pilot who has paid the annual subscription and who holds or has held or is currently training for a pilot licence (Australian or International equivalent) or pilot certificate (Australian or International equivalent) issued by a recognized sport aviation organization to operate:
i. fixed wing aircraft
ii. rotary wing aircraft
iv. hang glider or paraglider
v. ultralight aircraft
vi. hot air balloon or gas balloon or airship
B. Student Member is a pilot training for any of the above qualifications and has paid the annual subscription. This class of membership is for a maximum of two years subscription.
C. Junior Member is a female under 18 years of age who has an interest in flying and has paid the annual subscription.
D. Honorary Member is any person that the National Committee considers worthy. Honorary Membership is for such period that the National Committee considers appropriate.
E. Associate Member is any female person whose interests lie in aviation related activities and who is not eligible to become a member of the Association under either Articles 5.1 (a) or (b) or (c) and whom the National Committee considers to be acceptable for membership to the Association.
